They have helped many people in the past, so they might just be the solution you need. Thank you for watching, and I hope these tips help you get back to gaming without any crashes!
Step 1: Adjusting System Settings
When experiencing crashes on FiveM, adjusting your system settings can often help resolve the issue. Follow these steps to make the necessary changes:
Accessing PC Properties and Advanced System Settings
Begin by accessing your PC properties. This can be done by right-clicking on the “This PC” icon on your desktop and selecting “Properties.” From there, click on “Advanced system settings.”
Ensuring Processor Shadowing is Set to Programs
In the “System Properties” window, navigate to the “Settings” section under “Performance.” Click on “Settings” and make sure that “Processor shadowing” is set to “Programs.”
Changing the Total Paging File Size for All Drivers
Next, you will need to change the total paging file size for all drivers. Locate the C drive and ensure that the checkbox for “No paging file” is selected. Repeat this step for any additional drives you have.
Disabling the Checkbox for the Paging File Size
To disable the checkbox for the paging file size, click “Apply” and then “OK” in the “System Properties” window. This will save your changes.
Applying the Changes and Restarting the Computer
Once you have made these adjustments, click “OK” in the “Performance Options” window. You will then be prompted to restart your computer. Go ahead and restart to apply the changes.
By adjusting your system settings in this way, you may be able to fix the crashes you are experiencing in FiveM. However, please note that this method may not work for all PCs, as each system is unique.
If these steps do not resolve the crashes, don’t worry. I have two more videos on my channel that cover how to fix all crashes in FiveM. Step 2: Deleting and Modifying Files
In order to further troubleshoot and fix FiveM crashes, we will need to locate the FiveM application data folder on your computer. Follow the steps below to delete unnecessary files and modify the citizen fixes file:
Locating the FiveM Application Data Folder
The easiest way to find the FiveM application data folder is by right-clicking on the FiveM logo and selecting “Open file location.” This will take you directly to the folder we need.
Deleting Unnecessary Files While Preserving Game Storage
Once you are in the FiveM application data folder, you will see various files and folders. It is important to note that we do not want to delete the game storage files, as this will remove your progress in the game. Instead, focus on deleting any unnecessary files or folders that may be causing conflicts.
Opening and Modifying the Citizen Fixes File
Locate the “citizen fixes” file within the FiveM application data folder. Right-click on the file and select “Open with” followed by “Notepad.” This will allow us to make modifications to the file.
Saving the Changes and Running the Program as an Administrator
Within the “citizen fixes” file, you may come across a number (e.g., “build number 2699”). If you see this number, delete it and save the changes to the file. Additionally, it is important to run the FiveM program as an administrator. To do this, right-click on the FiveM program icon, go to “Properties,” navigate to the “Compatibility” tab, and check the box that says “Run this program as an administrator.”
By following these steps, you can delete unnecessary files and modify the citizen fixes file to potentially resolve any crashes you are experiencing in FiveM. Remember to save your changes and run the program as an administrator for the best results.
If these steps do not fix the issue, don’t worry. I have two more videos on my channel that cover how to fix all crashes in FiveM. They have helped many people in the past, so they might just be the solution you need. Thank you for reading, and I hope these tips help you get back to gaming without any crashes!
Step 3: Adjust Command and Compatibility Settings
Now that we have adjusted our system settings and deleted unnecessary files, it’s time to focus on adjusting the command and compatibility settings to further resolve any FiveM crashes you may be experiencing. Here’s what you need to do:
Using the Windows Calculator to Determine the Command Number
Open the Windows calculator on your computer. The command number we need to determine depends on the amount of RAM you have. To find this number, simply multiply the amount of RAM in your system by 1024. For example, if you have 16 gigabytes of RAM, the command number would be 16384.
Entering the Command and Spacebar Value in the Description
Once you have determined the command number, enter it into the command prompt. You can find the specific command to use in the video description. After entering the command, press the spacebar and then enter the value 32768. This will initiate the command and make the necessary adjustments.
Verifying the Successful Completion of the Operation
After entering the command and value, you should see a message indicating that the operation was completed successfully. If you do not see this message, double-check the command and value you entered to ensure accuracy. If the operation still does not complete successfully, review the steps and try again.
Adjusting Compatibility Settings for the FiveM Application
If the previous steps did not fix the crashes, it may be necessary to adjust the compatibility settings for the FiveM application. To do this, right-click on the FiveM program icon and select “Properties.” Navigate to the “Compatibility” tab.
Disabling Full Screen Optimizations and Overriding DPI Settings
In the “Compatibility” tab, make sure to disable the option for “Full screen optimizations” and check the box that says “Override high DPI scaling behavior.” These settings can help optimize the performance of the FiveM application and potentially resolve any remaining crashes you are experiencing.
By following these steps and adjusting the command and compatibility settings, you should be able to fix the crashes you are experiencing in FiveM. However, please note that these methods may not work for all PCs, as each system is unique.
If these steps do not resolve the crashes, I have two more videos on my channel that cover how to fix all crashes in FiveM. They have helped many people in the past, so they might just be the solution you need. Thank you for reading, and I hope these tips help you get back to gaming without any crashes!
